April 9th - Statewide MAIN Meeting - Augusta

10:00 am - 12:30 pm At Maine Equal Justice, 126 Sewall St., Augusta Members and non-members are welcome!

 

Travel & child care reimbursement is available at the meeting for those who need it.

 

Introductions: 10:00    Time to share a little bit about yourself, and what's going on in your life, your community, or in groups you work with.  Short announcements are welcome!

 

Guest: 10:30   Patricia Ender, Pine Tree Legal Assistance – April is Fair Housing Month so Patricia will talk about the work that PTLA is doing to fight illegal housing discrimination. In Maine, people are protected from discrimination in housing based on receipt of public assistance (including section 8), sexual orientation, sex, race, color, national origin, religion, disability and familial status.  Come to learn more and ask questions.

 

Maine Equal Justice Partners (MEJP) Update: 11:00 Get information on the state budget proposals and other issues that MAIN and MEJP are working on at the Legislature this session. Find out how you can help protect important programs and services.  Bring your questions and be ready to help us make decisions.
