1. Treasurer report. We need to keep working on fundraising. If you can volunteer to help with fundraising in any of these ways, please contact Pam Morin at 458-2210: help with mailings, phone calls, staffing tables, and getting donations.
2. Economic Human Rights (EHR) are the rights we all need to maintain a decent quality of life, including our rights to food, healthcare, housing, living wage jobs, & education - to name a few. MAIN is working in many ways to achieve economic human rights. Current projects that we will discuss are:
+ The new Maine Council Poverty and Economic Security;
+ The Maine Voices grant; and
+ Using the Internet to hold discussions.
3. MAIN 2008 Conference - MAIN's next annual conference will take place in November. At it, we will elect MAIN leaders and decide our legislative agenda for the next two years. We hope to hold it at the State House to again help our members become familiar and comfortable in this building where so many decisions that affect our lives are made.
+ Volunteer are needed to help make this conference a success.
+ Share your thoughts on ways to improve how we hold elections & choose our legislative agenda.
